KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender with Glass Blender Jar Reviews
| 35 of 35 people found the following review helpful This review is from: KitchenAid KSB565SM 5-Speed Blender with 48-Ounce Glass Jar, Silver Metallic (Kitchen) We were looking for a blender that would make smoothies on a daily basis, last longer than 90-days and not cost us a fortune. This blender easily crushes the ice and blends the frozen fruits into a delicious smoothie without problem. It does not over heat or stall and the 4-level blade prevents air pockets common with other blenders. It is somewhat loud but that is to be expected from a motor powerful enough to easily crush ice in seconds. We recommend this blender to anyone looking for quality at a reasonable price. 20 of 20 people found the following review helpful By JS "JS" (California,USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: KitchenAid 5-Speed Blender with Glass Blender Jar, Empire Red (Kitchen) Before I bought this I checked many reviews. I chose the glass jar over polycarbonate one that would be nice, if there in no leaking possibility.Cleaning and assembling are easier than other brand that I owned before since it is built well. Primary purpose of this is making smoothy and ice crush. This is doing better than I expected. Especially, for ice crushing, it does crush and pulse and it is very effective. I recommend it with 5 star. 31 of 36 people found the following review helpful By Andy (Chicago) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: KitchenAid KSB565WH 5-Speed Blender with 48-Ounce Glass Jar, White (Kitchen) The first thing I noticed was that the "soft start" feature was an absolute joke. If I so much as tap the lowest speed button (stir) the blender would blast my protein shakes to the lid with such force that it would actually leak past the lid. Even with the lid I had a mess to clean up after each use. What made things even worse was that the outside of the pitcher does not seal to the base of the pitcher. Liquids that run down the outside of the pitcher would get all over the bottom side of the pitcher base (a hard to clean area) and the motor base. The splash up issue could in theory be solved by putting an inductor on the input, but why should I have to do this? KitchenAid should have figured this out. There are two fatal design flaws with this blender that been described with varying degrees of success by other reviewers here. The gear that is attached to the blades is made from rubber molded over a metal disk. Not a knurled disk, a smooth disk. This... Read more |
